I am so sorry ladies, my computer was at the doctor's forever. But we now have it back. You are doing so awesome here on our blog!
I have not kept track of my eating and exercise while computerless, but suffice to say, I have not gained or lost weight!
Today's list for me bjw:
2 pieces toast and tea
cookie (coffee table at work usually has something)
bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup
3 Dad's cookies
one mini hamburger (no bun) with ketchup
one serving mashed potatoes with gravy
cream corn
THREE pieces homemade cinnamon bread (yikes)
positive for today is that I haven't had pop (all week)
Just by typing this I can see that I just don't stop to think before popping things in the hole! This will be great for me.
Exercise this week is also pathetic. This will change!!

kgn - I'm back!
I haven't had time to post my food diary, but I have been keeping track, so here goes:
Sunday, April 27: (I did really, really badly)
Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal with 1% milk
1 bowl chicken noodle soup
small piece of chocolate cake
2 cups coffee
3 cups iced tea
1 bun with ham
layered lettuce salad
some kind of whipped salad
3 slices cheese
3 Nanaimo bars :(
1 lemon square
1 butter tart bar
(Note: After the weekend, I'd found 2 1/2 of the 4 pounds I'd lost. Three steps forward, two steps back, I guess.)
Monday, April 28: (My Mom's birthday - supper with my family.)
I actually went for a 20 minute walk. :)
2 oranges
2 fried eggs
2 slices whole wheat toast
hash browns
ham
chocolate milk
small chocolate Easter treat
Chinese food
cupcake
some other whipped dessert thing
Mountain Dew
iced tea
2 Riesens
Tuesday, April 29:
porridge & toast
2 cups coffee
2 oatmeal raisin cookies
1 orange
2 salmon sandwiches
lettuce salad with Ranch dressing
farmer sausage on a bun with bbq sauce
macaroni with cream gravy & fried onions (mmmm! good, but oh, so bad!)
1 piece chocolate cake
1 cup milk
2 Riesens
Wednesday, April 30:
porridge & toast
2 cups coffee
2 salmon sandwiches
lettuce salad with Ranch dressing
yogurt granola bar
shepherd's pie
whole wheat bun
1 cups milk
4 Riesens
I'm really struggling with willpower. I'm going thru serious chocolate cravings lately. But. I. Am. Not. Going. To. Give. Up.
I'm glad to hear it's working for you, Kathy. You know, even if all it does at first is make us feel better about ourselves, it's totally worth it.
I've been forgetting to pray about it. We can't expect to be able to do this without God's help.

Breakfast:
Kellog's all bran bar
3/4 cup grapes
Lunch:
half a triangle bun with egg salad
Snack:
fresh pineapple (1 cup)
Supper:
1 ladle deer stew (meat, carrots, peas & potatoes)
1 piece of garlic bread
1 coffee
*This has been soooo good for me. I haven't seen much of a decrease on the weigh scale, but my clothes are fitting a bit looser. Lindsay said that he weighed the other day and was surprised at how much he weighed, so he is faithfully walking with me. We've rarely missed a day lately, so eating less combined with excercise has got to pay off soon.

kgn - 25th & 26th
No time to be on the computer the last couple days - so I'm gonna try to remember what I ate on the 25th.
porridge, buttered toast & milk
2 cups coffee
2 salmon & cucumber bunwiches
medium iced capp
carbonara chicken sub at Quizno's
Coke
handful of raspberry ju-jubes
Mountain Dew
As for exercise, I think I should be able to count the umpteen trips up and down the stairs loading Brendan's stuff into his Jimmy and our van. Also, I exercised incredible willpower. On the way home from Moose Jaw we stopped in Chamberlain for candy for the trip home. Glen bought me a Skor bar (which I hadn't asked for), and I kindly told him that he could have it. It's Sunday after noon right now, and the thing is sitting on our dresser. I really wish he'd just eat it. If he doesn't eat it today, it's going in his lunch tomorrow. I don't want it around in a moment of weakness.
Saturday the 26th was not so good a day for recording what I ate, but here goes:
Cinnamon Toast crunch cereal with 1% milk
donut (only 1 - not as many as some had...)
4 two-bite brownies
2 (or 3) chocolate chip squares
2 cups coffee with sugar and cream
(lots of) multi-grain tostitos with spinach dip
cucumbers, carrots, mushrooms, celery with dip
canteloupe and pineapple
Chinese food - lemon chicken, s & s pork, chicken balls, chow mein, almond gai ding, chop suey, egg roll
What I ate probably isn't so bad, but I know I ate too much. For the record though, as of Saturday morning I'd lost 4 pounds! I probably gained a couple back already, but I'm not giving up this time. It's really seeming to help me that I'm accountable to you two. Whenever I'm eating I think, "I'm gonna have to record this..."

My second supper was Chinese food - very, very small portions - I tried to be verrrry good.

My goal
I got on the weigh scale the Monday after the Women's Retreat, and oh boy do I have weight to lose. I'd love to lose 25, but I'm thinking if I divide that into smaller goals, I might find it not so daunting. So... right now I'm aiming for 10 pounds. And, just like Bonnie, I'll keep you "posted". (Get it? "Posted"!)

Okay, it's a good thing I wasn't too terribly bad today. Here's what I ate:

1 whole wheat bun with salmon (mixed with Miracle Whip LIGHT, celery & onions - mmmm!) and cucumber slices

(If I'da realized we were starting this today I'da only had 1 bowl of soup...) That's it for today. No more by mouth for me.

To Begin
Alright, so here we are at the beginning of this blog.
We have agreed to have this blog to be an engouragement to one another and to keep ourselves accountable.
My goals here are to keep track of my eating by letting you know EVERYTHING that I eat as well as to keep track of my exercise. My ultimate goal by doing these things is to be motivated to lose 15 pounds by the end of May 2008. I won't put down my actual weight, as that is scary, but I will let you know how I am doing each week in that regard.
I would also like this to be a place of sharing God's goodness in our lives and Bible verses that could encourage us.
